Status of the Charlie Simmons' Memorial Bench at Phoenix Tennis Center

There are two parts to the status of acquiring and placing the memorial bench at the Phoenix Tennis Center.

Park and Recreation Approval:

We are currently communicating with the Phoenix Park and Recreation Department and they will advise on the steps to we need to take to gain approval. We have submitted the artwork for the plaque and await their approval. We are confident of succeeding due to the past history of the department in granting approval at the different park facilities.

Funding:

Thanks to the generosity of the tennis community, we have the funds to purchase the memorial bench and the bronz plaque.
